“Something wonderful happens when the magic of night time meets the magic of Disneyland. And that’s why Disneyland After Dark is fast becoming a favorite with grownups” – a radio commercial for Disneyland by Starlite.

In the Summer of 1969, Disneyland ran a summer promotion complete with live music and fireworks in attempt to lure adults in to visit the theme park after dark. For this week 48 years ago, Bobbie Gentry (Ode to Billie Joe), Roger Williams, Shango, and Bobby Bare were the headliners. Date Nite at Disney fearured The Mar Cells, The Vintage Callers & The Sound Castle.

This small booklet, published by Corning in 1969, warns tells you of the coming of Space-Age Cooking and the “world of new ideas, new foods, new ways to cook and serve” that are arriving in the 1970s. That new world would include: percolated “real” coffee, hot plates, radiated space-savers and loaves of all kinds.
