It’s time for another round of entries of the 13-year old Satie Little’s 1900 diary.
This batch of entries doesn’t have much pizzazz so I am presenting the rest of the month in one post.
Monday, March 12, 1900
A nice day. I was at home. Jim and Addie and John came home in the morning. We went down and built the fires at Jim’s.
Tuesday, March 13, 1900
A nice day. I was at home. Pa went to Bath. Jim and Addie went to Bath left John with us. Uncle Charlie were here to dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Warren came up to Jim’s toward night. Ma and Pa went down to Ede’s toward night. Let and I stayed all night alone.
Wednesday, March 14, 1900
Quite a nice day. Mr and Mrs. Warren went home in the after-noon. Pa and Ma came home from Ede’s at night.
Thursday, March 15, 1900
A stormy day. Pa went to Bath in fore-noon got Let’s furniture and baking powder. Let and I did the balking powder all up in the packages in the after-noon.
Friday, March 16, 1900
A blustery day. Pa took Let around and delivered some of her baking powder in the fore-noon. Pa and Ma went up to Arnold Bordens in the after-noon. Stayed to supper. The sitting room fire was down when they got back and Ma blowed (sic). I went down to Jim’s in the fore-noon and took care of John while they washed.

A blustery day. Pa went to Bath. Caught a ride with John Loghry. Niles graham was down here a little wile in the after-noon. I went down to Addie’s a little-wile in the afternoon.
Sunday, Match 18, 1900
A blustery day. I was at home all day. We could not go to meeting because the wind blowed so and drifted.
Monday, March 19, 1900
A nice fore-noon thawed terribly rained a little in the afternoon & froze up toward night. I went down and staid with John a little while in the fore-noon. Let finished delivering her baking powder. Mr. Warren came up tyo Jim and got their old cow. Pa went to Bath in the after-noon.
Tuesday, March 20, 1900
Quite a nice fore-noon. Snowed a little in the after-noon. Jim took Let to Bath in the fore-noon. Let went to Savna to Lides. Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and Addie and Jim and the baby were here to dinner. They were here all day a visiting.
Wednesday, March 21, 1900
A blustery day. I staid at home our folks cut wood. Niles Graham helped them. he was here to dinner and supper. Let was at Lides.
Thursday, March 22, 1900
A nice day. I was at home most all day. I went up to Kate G. a little while in the after-noon. Pa went to Bath in the fore-noon. Aunt Zill was here most of the after-noon. Addies and the baby were up here in the after-noon. Let was at Lides.
Friday, March 23, 1900
Quite a nice day. I went down to Addies in the P.M. and took care of John. Niles Graham helped our folks saw wood in the after-noon was here to supper. Let was at Lides.
Saturday, March 24, 1900
A lovely day. Thawed. Pa went to bath in the fore-noon. I was down to Addies and Back 4 times during the day.
Sunday, March 25, 1900
A lovely day. Thawed. Jim brought Addie and the baby up here to stay until he got home from moving Cales folks. Jim went down to Lides in the fore-noon.
Monday, March 26, 1900
Quite a storm day. I stayed at home. Addie and the baby were here all day and all night. Jim was down to Lides helping them move. They finished moving today. Pa went to Bath. Jenny and Nellie and Ernest came up there with him. Niles Graham called in the morning.
Tuesday, March 27, 1900
A nice day. I stayed at home. Addie and the baby went down home in the fore-noon. Jim came home about noon. Jenny and Nellie and Ernest were here. Kate Graham and her children were here all the afternoon. Let was at Lides. Our little black heifer had a calf.
Wednesday, March 28, 1900
A nice day. Quite cold. I stayed at home nearly all day. Jenny and Nellie and Ernest were here. Clara Butts came up at night road up from Bath with Jim Platt. Jenny and I went down to Addies a little while in the after-noon. Jim took a load of potatoes to Bath. Let was at Lides.
Thursday, March 29, 1900
A nice day. I stayed at home. Pa went to Bath at got Cale’s cow. Jen and Rich came over about boon. Richard went home in the P.M.Jen stayed & cut out my black jacket out of her blazer. Jenny and Nellie and Ernest and Clara were here. Arthur Townsend’s horse got down at dark. Niles Graham called at night. Let was at Lide’s.
Friday, March 30, 1900
A nice day. Jan Platt came up here in the fore-boob and cut the horns off our red cow. Jen was here she went down to Jims to dinner stayed nearly all the after-noon. Jenny and Nellie and Ernest and Clara were here. Jen nearly made my jacket. Uncle Charlie was up here in the P.M. Let was at Lide’s.
Saturday, March 31, 1900
A nice day. Quite cold. Jen and Pa went to Bath. Clara went to Bath and went down here on the 3 o’clock train. Jenny and Nellie and Ernest went home. Let was Lide’s she did not come home. Jen got the buttons for my black broad-cloth jacket (summer jacket). She finished it at night.
