Sundays With Satie: Week 4

Welcome to week 4 of the 1900 diary of Satie Little from Bath, New York. This week was a very religious week for the Little as Satie talks constantly of going to meeting.

Monday, January 22, 1900

A nice day. I went to school. Ma went down to Aunt Zills in the after-noon. We all went to meeting in the evening. Mr. Wheeler preached and Mrs. Wheeler sang.

Tuesday, January 23, 1900

I went to school. Let went down and stayed all night to Uncle Charlies. Pa & Ma. took Uncle Nelt and Aunt Lot up to Uncle Andrews. I did not go to meeting.

Wednesday, January 24, 1900

A nice day cold. I went to school. Mr. & Mrs. Stewart came over them and Pa & MA went to meeting the afternoon. We all went to meeting at night. Marion Sanderson came home with us and stayed all night.

Thursday, January 25, 1900

A stormy day stopped at night. We all went to meeting. Mr. & Mrs. Stewart went home in the morning. I did not go to school. Ma stayed to Jim’s and let Jim & Addie go to meeting. Marion was here all day went home at night.

Friday, January 26, 1900

An awful cold blustery day. Pa & I Went to meeting in the afternoon. I did not go to school.

Saturday, January 27, 1900

A nice day. Pa went to Bath. Ede and Hazel and the baby came up. Jen & Rich came over we all went to the meeting but Ede and the baby they went down and stayed with Addie. Mr. Wheeler preached. Mrs. Wheeler sang.

Sunday, January 28, 1900

A nice day. Pa & Let & Jen & Rich & I went to meeting in the forenoon. Mt/ Wheeler preached. We all went to meeting in the evening but Ma & Ede and the babys. Jen & Rich went home after meeting.
